(Nov 2012) The new but well attended conference, the Bio4Apps 2012 (International Conference on BioElectronics, BioSensors, BioMedical Devices, BioMEMS/NEMS and Applications; http://www.ece.nus.edu.sg/stfpage/elelc/Conference_Bio4Apps2012.html) is held at NUS, Singapore on Nov. 19 and 20, 2012, and Dr. REN is invited to give a talk on ‘Surgical Instrument Tracking for Navigating Minimally Invasive Surgery’. This conference is also held in conjunction with the JSPS Sponsored Workshop.

(Oct 2012) Dr. REN is invited to give a talk in the 2012 International Workshop on Robotics (http://www.risit.org/workshop/) on 31st October 2012, which is held in conjunction with The International Conference on Social Robotics (http://www.icsoro.org/) in Chengdu. This workshop is to discuss the state-of-the-art in robotics and their emerging applications in different areas. In particular, Dr. REN gave a talk on Surgical Navigation and Planning in Computer-Integrated Interventional Medicine.
