It has offered significant advantages<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 ya ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">in terms of diagnosis and guidance and has been increasingly<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 yb ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">introduced from coronary interventions into more generalized<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 yc ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">endovascular surgery. However, IVUS itself does not provide<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 yd ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">spatial pose information for its generated images, making it<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 ye ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">difficult to construct a 3D intravascular visualization. To<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 yf ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">address this limitation, IVUS imaging-driven 3D intravascular<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y10 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">reconstruction techniques have been developed. These<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y11 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">techniques enable accuratediagnosis andquantitative<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y12 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">measurements of intravascular diseases to facilitate optimal<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y13 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">treatment determination. Such reconstruction extends the IVUS<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y14 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">imaging modality from pure diagnostic assistance to<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y15 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">intraoperative navigation and guidance and supports both<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y16 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">therapeutic options and interventional operations. This paper<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y17 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">presents a comprehensive survey of technological advances and<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y18 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">recent progress on IVUS imaging-based 3D intravascular<\/div>\n<div class=\"t m0 x0 h5 y19 ff5 fs3 fc0 sc0 ls1 ws3\">reconstruction and its state-of-the-art applications.
